Joel serves as Chief Technology Officer and has responsibility for security operations, product development, research and development, infrastructure and compliance. Joel started at Security On-Demand as Vice President of Security Operations in 2013. Joel brings over 30 years of professional experience in product development and security. Prior to joining Security On-Demand, Joel spent 10 years at EISI, a software and SaaS provider to the financial services industry where he served as Chief Information Security Officer and Vice-President of Operations. Prior to EISI, Joel was VP of Engineering & Operations for StyleLogic. Joel began his career as a nuclear engineer for the U.S. Navy. Joel studied nuclear engineering at Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern and eventually at the Navy Nuclear Power program. Joel holds certifications in ISO 27001, CRISC, LEAN, Six Sigma and is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
Kim serves as VP of Sales for Security On-Demand and is responsible for overseeing and managing SOD’s Channel Partner Program. Her primary objective is to enable the SOD partner community to meet their revenue goals for SOD solutions by providing executive strategic alignment, go-to-market strategy, education, training, and turn-key co-selling support. Kim also leads partnership and sales initiatives across all of Security On-Demand’s customers.
Kim has spent her career pioneering technical innovations by providing sales and business leadership to enable new revenue streams, technology leadership, and often both. Kim spent her initial years working at AT&T Bell Laboratories researching and launching new technologies. One of her largest technology launches includes her efforts partnering with many Wireless Telecommunication Partners to launch voice and data messaging which is ubiquitous today. More recently, she spent 4 years at General Dynamics (GD) managing a mobile security product line protecting mobile devices from security breaches. She also managed a suite of mobile SATCOM products for both commercial and government applications while at GD. She holds an MS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Mathematics. Her BS is also from U of I in Mathematics and Computer Science. Kim holds Level I and II certifications from Pragramatic Marketing and is ITIL certified.
When Kim isn’t focused on work, she enjoys spending her time candy making and running.
Cliff is the Director of Product Management and has responsibility for driving new product development and shaping the long term product strategy at Security On-Demand. Cliff has 20+ years of experience in new product development. Prior to joining Security On-Demand in 2016 as a Sr. Product Manager he spent 4 years with Computer Services Inc. as the Sr. Product Manager for the Managed Services Division, and 14 years in various roles for software development companies (Financial Profiles Inc. and Emerging Information Systems Inc.) including, Production Director, Sr. Product Marketing Manager and Vice President of Professional Services. Cliff holds an MBA from the University of San Diego and a BA from Colorado State University.
As the Director of Technology, Bill is responsible for driving technology operations, security and cloud integration. Bill brings 20+ years of experience in technology operations including cloud and resort/hospitality. Prior to joining Security on Demand in 2018, he was the Director of Technology and Development for a successful mobile application startup and spent 15 years with the Aspen Skiing Company, finishing as the Director of IT Operations. Bill spends his time as a volunteer coach in various sports at the high school and middle school levels. He has attended leadership training at the Bell Leadership Institute and Roaring Fork Leadership and studied Computer Information Systems at Bloomsburg University.
As Director of Research and Development for Security On-Demand, Piotr is responsible for the team, processes and best practices to deliver the Approximate Query product and successfully use it within the organization. Piotr is a true professional with a passion for innovation and for finding the not-so-obvious solutions. As an analytical thinker and an academic at heart, he is always interested in methods and outcomes. Since 1995, Piotr has been a lecturer at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology and received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Polish Academy of Sciences in 2004, where he holds a position of Assistant Professor. In 2005, he co-founded Infobright where he worked until 2017 as Chief Architect. He co-designed and led the team developing the core engine of Infobright’s columnar database engine. He also took part in designing and creating a new product, IAQ, where approximate query engine is used to process massive amounts of data in real time. Piotr has co-authored over 70 scientific papers for books, journal and conferences. He is a co-inventor of two US patents describing Infobright’s technology with respect to Adaptive Data Compression, Columnar Database Architectures and Calculations on Data Summaries.
Dominik currently serves as the Chief Scientist at Security On-Demand. Dominik received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 2002 from University of Warsaw, Poland, and D.Sc. degree in 2011 from the Institute of Computer Science of Polish Academy of Sciences. Early in his career, he worked as Assistant Professor at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology and at the University of Regina in Canada. In 2005, Dominik co-founded Infobright, where he worked as Chief Scientist until 2017. At Infobright, he co-designed Analytical Database Engine aimed at fast low-resource processing of massive volumes of machine-generated data, based on the paradigms of Columnar Data Stores and Rough Set Approximations. Since 2012, he has been active as co-organizer of online data mining contests at Knowledge Pit. He also played leading roles in several government-funded projects in the area of Data-driven Risk Management. In 2009, Dominik re-joined University of Warsaw, where he currently holds professorship position at Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics. Dominik has co-edited over 30 scientific books and volumes of conference proceedings in addition to co-authoring over 150 papers for books, journals and conferences. He is co-inventor in six US patents describing Infobright’s technology with respect to Adaptive Data Compression, Stream Data Clustering, Alphanumeric Data Types, and Calculations on Data Summaries.
